I visited some galleries here on Deviant Art, and sometimes if I really like the style of someone's art I'll take a peak at their journal entries to try to get a sample off their personalities and whatnot.

What is it with people "quiting" fanart and saying their now sticking to drawing only "original" art and characters. They act as if drawing fanart "lowers" your grade or credibility as an artist. Like "it was just a childish phase" of some sort. Seriously what the fuck makes people think that makes you a better artist?

Get off your high horse. Fanart is still art. You get inspiration from whatever content you view and sometimes want to draw the characters or a setting based on a series, a comic, a tv show, a movie. It still inspires, it still drawn, the artist has put effort into the piece.

Many famous artists or well know artists have done fanart themselves. I been to some of my favorite comic book artists sites and they have drawn fanart and shown them in their galleries along with their original stuff.

You are not more special, you are not making a huge fucking statement.

Art is art. Whether the characters are copyrighted or not.

You can draw both original art and non-original and NOT have to make a big deal out of it. I do both all the time and it isn't something that needs to be pointed out at all. All you have to do is create. It just seems like people think it makes you deeper or something. (If you need to make it a point that you're deep or something LOL you got more issues than you think.)

On a totally different note: I played Resident Evil Outbreak.....seriously who fucking likes that game? The one black guy was saying "Shiznit, fra-shizzle badizzle" and omg what a way to use a stereotype and make it even more racist. Not only that it. was. terrible. To reload a gun I had to press the menu, click "combine", click the gun, and the bitch I was using SLOWLY added the bullets ONE BY ONE. And if a mutant monster attack her it would stop her from adding any more AND I HAD TO DO THE PROCESS ALL OVER AGAIN. Example, the boss fight in the second chapter at the frozen lab place. It wasn't the boss that was giving me problems. IT WAS THE TWO SMALL MUTANT PINK WORM THINGS THAT WOULD BITE ONTO ME AS I TRIED TO RELOAD HER FUCKING GUN.

No excuses. It doesn't make the gamplay harder or more "hardcore". Its poor game mechanics.(wtf is up with the four-box inventory and not being able to discard items to only swamping them? No fuck you Outbreak) In the first Resident Evil if you ran out of the first clip in your gun the character would reload the gun automatically if you had another clip AND NOT BULLET BY BULLET. Sorry Outbreak, your horrible story telling makes me not care about the characters, nor the no saving during chapters or the horrible game mechanics.

Perhaps Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5 were more action oriented with a lacking plot. BUT IT WAS FUN TO PLAY AND THE CONTROLS WERE SMOOTH. Outbreak makes me think sticking a needle in my eye is better entertainment.

For people who say "Well you could go online..." NOT ANYMORE! THE US SERVER HAS BEEN DOWN FOR YEARS. FAIL.

The only reason I have it is because it was packaged with Code Veronica (win) and RE4 (win). Now I know why no one talks about it. I've learned something new today.

Hey recently I've added a few people to msn as well as yahoo and I'm announcing this because Sarah and San had contacted me through the Yahoo chat when I wasn't on. DO NOT USE YAHOO CHAT TO IM ME!!! I MADE AN AURORA SPRITE!!


I always liked the cute Earthbound sprites and decided to make a new icon for myself. I like it. ^_^

I got a couple cool movies from the library and gonna watch "Inland Empire" by David Lynch. I'm gonna get finished with Lesley's birthday art tomorrow.
